Destination Canada co-invested in a program for Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) partners across the country to partake in the Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS-Index). The annual process is the world's leading sustainability performance program for business tourism destinations around the world.

2023 is the first year that Tourism Calgary, and its civic partners, will be taking part in the program.

Strategic Moose Consulting has partnered with Tourism Calgary to lead the partner engagement, data collection, communications and strategic policy recommendations in this inaugural year. The project will be conducted from April through to October 2023.
